Biography

I was born in Philadelphia, PA, but my family soon moved to Arkansas, where I was raised. Every summer, we stayed in Wellfleet, Cape Cod, where I took sailing and swimming lessons, drove with friends all up and down the Cape, and drew as often as possible. I spent four years at Sarah Lawrence College, including one year abroad in Florence. Upon graduation I spent a year at the Museum School in Boston, earning a Post Baccaluareate Certificate. I am now working on a masters in Art Education at Lesley University. I am also happily married to a wonderful woman named Iva, who is due in February to have our first child, a boy we will name Andrew.





My current, ongoing art projects are:





1. Memorize the anatomy of the figure


2. Perfect underpainting & glazing techniques


3. Master cartooning of the figure


4. Write and illustrate a graphic novel


5. Write a series of lesson plans on art education
